Piano Analytics
Enterprise analytics, set up properly. As a certified Piano partner we implement Piano Analytics, migrate organisations onto it, and optimise setups that are already running — with the governance structure designed and agreed before anything moves.
Tell us what you are running now and what you need the data to answer. We will tell you what the migration involves and how long it should take.

The Client’s Situation
By the time the numbers arrive, the campaign has moved on
Two problems bite hardest. The first is speed. Teams wait days for a data pull, and when the numbers finally land they describe a campaign or a release that has already changed. Decisions end up being made late, or on instinct.
The second is privacy. Regulation has tightened and continues to, and organisations are rightly uneasy about where their analytics data actually goes and whether their current setup stands up. Very few people want to find out the answer during an audit.
Underneath both sit the familiar complaints. Sampled data. Two teams arriving at the same meeting with different numbers. Reporting that nobody trusts enough to use without checking it first.
Piano Analytics is an enterprise analytics platform built for organisations in exactly that position. Event-based rather than session-based, privacy-first by design, and structured so that teams can get their own answers instead of queuing for them. We are a certified Piano partner, and we do three things with it. We implement it from scratch. We migrate organisations onto it from GA4 or whatever they are running now. And we optimise setups that are already live but not earning their keep.

What you get from doing it in this order
Talk to usGovernance is a decision, not a by-product
The structure is designed and agreed before the migration starts, so what gets built reflects a choice rather than whatever the previous setup happened to do.
A setup shaped around how you actually use data
We establish how the data needs to reach each department before configuring anything, rather than applying a standard template and adjusting later.
Numbers people will use without checking them first
Reports and dashboards that teams can self-serve, which is the point at which analytics starts saving time rather than creating requests.
A compliance position you can explain
Where the data goes and what consent supports it, documented rather than assumed, so the answer exists before anyone asks for it.
It stays right after go-live
Tracking, governance and reporting get reviewed and refined as your needs change, with monitoring and anomaly alerts to catch what drifts.
What the work covers
Three kinds of engagement: a new implementation, a migration onto Piano from something else, or optimisation of a setup that is already live. The work below appears in all three, in different proportions.
1
Tracking and collection
Data layer design and implementation, tag manager configuration and updates, and event and KPI tracking design.
2
Migration
Moving from GA4 or another existing analytics platform, and integrating with the rest of your marketing stack.
3
Governance and compliance
Designing or reviewing the governance structure, and assistance with privacy, consent and the regulatory position around analytics data.
4
Reporting and ongoing work
Custom reports and dashboards, export into your data warehouse and BI tools, monitoring and anomaly alerts, and continuous optimisation and review.
Turn your data into a competitive advantage.
Whether you’re trying to prove marketing performance, modernise enterprise reporting, or build a stronger data strategy, we’ll help you create analytics that deliver measurable business value.
Team training is delivered as part of the engagement, and is also available as a service in its own right. See the Training page.
Governance first, then the migration

We establish what the data is for
Every engagement opens with a consultation to understand how your data will actually be used, and how it needs to reach each department. That is what stops the setup becoming a generic template.
We design the governance structure
Working with your data team, your legal team and whoever else needs a say, we design a full governance structure, or review and strengthen the one you already have.
Then we migrate
Only once governance is agreed. Moving your existing stack across with minimal disruption, which is considerably easier when the destination has already been decided properly.
We keep reviewing it
The relationship does not end at go-live. Tracking, governance and reporting get refined as your needs evolve, so the platform keeps earning its place.
The order matters more than anything else here, and it is the opposite of how most of these projects run.

Why organisations bring us in
Start with what the data has to answer
Whether you are moving off GA4, unsure whether your current setup would survive scrutiny, or simply tired of waiting days for numbers that arrive stale, the first conversation is the same. What you are running, what you need it to tell you, and who needs to be able to see it.

How long does a migration take?
Most accounts are delivered in around three months from the opening conversation, including the governance design. Where the existing setup is well documented it can be quicker; where nobody is quite sure what the current implementation is tracking, establishing that takes the time it takes.
What does it cost?
It depends on the size of the existing setup, how much governance work is needed and how much reporting you want built. We scope it against what you actually need rather than quoting a rate against an unknown, and the opening consultation is what makes that possible.
How do we train our team to use it?
Training is part of the engagement rather than an add-on, and it is aimed at the point where your teams can build their own reports instead of raising requests. Standalone training at beginner and advanced level is also available. See the Training page.
Who needs to be involved from our side?
Your data team, your legal team, and whoever owns the web stack. Legal comes in during the governance design rather than at sign-off, which is deliberate. Beyond that we need whoever can say what the data is supposed to answer, because that is the question the whole setup gets built around.
How do we know whether our current setup is compliant?
A governance review establishes what is being collected, where it goes and what consent supports it, and documents the gaps. That is a technical assessment rather than legal advice, and it is what your legal team needs in order to form a view. Most organisations we speak to have never had it written down.
