Oracle
We build, modernise and support the Oracle platforms organisations run their critical operations on, and we take ownership of the problems that come with them.
Tell us what has become difficult, and whether you want us inside your team or running it separately. We will tell you what we think it takes.

The Client’s Situation
Too important to experiment on
Oracle tends to sit underneath the things an organisation cannot afford to have fail. Core operations, reporting that goes to a regulator, the applications people use all day. That is what makes problems on these platforms awkward: the system has to keep running while it is being fixed, and there is very little room to experiment.
By the time we are called in, the problem has usually been there a while. Something has become slow, or expensive enough that somebody noticed. Something needs building and there is no capacity internally to build it. Or something has turned urgent as well as complicated, and it is no longer solvable with the people currently on it.
The conversation almost never starts with the technology. Clients know Oracle, they have invested in it, and they are not looking for an argument in its favour. What they are looking for is someone who can understand the problem, take ownership of it, and sort it out.

What you get from bringing us in
Talk to usSomeone takes ownership
Whether we work inside your team or as a separate delivery unit, the accountability is clear and it sits with us.
Simple and practical, not elaborate
Oracle work has a tendency to grow more sophisticated than the problem requires. We would rather deliver something you can understand and operate than something impressive.
The platform gets easier to run, not just larger
Performance optimisation and modernisation of what exists, rather than adding another layer on top of it.
What we build, you can maintain
We transfer knowledge as we go and leave repeatable processes behind, so the solution does not depend on us being available.
The same people stay on it
Engagements here are measured in years. Continuity is what allows a consultant to understand a platform well enough to change it safely.
What the work covers
1
Database and platform
Oracle Database solutions and management, performance optimisation, system modernisation, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
2
Applications
Application development in Oracle APEX, and the internal tools and business applications that sit on top of the data.
3
Data and reporting
Data integration and ETL, data warehousing and business intelligence, regulatory and business reporting, and visualisation and dashboards.
4
Process and support
Process optimisation and automation, plus ongoing Oracle support and maintenance.
Turn your data into a competitive advantage.
Whether you’re trying to prove marketing performance, modernise enterprise reporting, or build a stronger data strategy, we’ll help you create analytics that deliver measurable business value.
Deliverables range from a change request in something that already exists to a whole solution built from nothing. Our own VIA platform is built entirely on the Oracle stack, and it is the one thing clients ask for by name.
Listen first, then find the practical path

We start with the business, not the database
Understanding your business context, your existing systems, your data landscape and what you are actually trying to achieve, before proposing anything technical.
We define a practical path
From the current challenge to a working solution, kept as simple as the problem allows. The elegant answer is rarely the one that survives five years of production.
You choose how we fit
We work remotely or on site, and either as an integrated part of your existing team or as an independent delivery unit with clear ownership and accountability. Both work. Which is right depends on whether you have capacity to absorb us or need us to carry something on our own.
We leave something that outlasts us
Knowledge transferred to your team and repeatable processes established, so what we build remains valuable long after the engagement ends.
Enterprise Technologies
Why organisations bring us in
Start with the problem, not the platform
Whether something has become too slow, too expensive, too urgent or simply too complicated to solve with the people you have, the first conversation is the same. What is going wrong, what depends on it, and by when it has to be right.

Explore allQuestions we are asked
Should we stay on Oracle or move to a cloud solution?
It depends on what is actually driving the question, and it is worth establishing that before comparing options. If the driver is licensing cost, migration often does not solve it. If it is a support deadline or a capability you cannot get where you are, that is a different conversation. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is one route, staying put with a modernised platform is another, and moving off Oracle entirely is sometimes the right answer. We would rather assess your position than give you a general one, and if the answer is to do nothing for now we will say so.
When can you start?
That depends on consultant availability at the time you ask, and we would rather give you a real date than an optimistic one. If timing is tight, tell us the deadline early, because it changes how we would scope the work as well as who we would put on it.
How long will it take?
Anything from a change request in an existing solution through to building a whole platform, so the honest answer is that it depends on what we find. Most of our Oracle engagements are long-term rather than short projects, and we would rather establish the scope properly than quote a duration against an unknown.
How much will it cost?
We price against a defined scope rather than quoting a rate against an unclear one. The first conversation is about what the problem actually is, because that usually changes the estimate more than anything else does.
Can you work as part of our team, or do you need to run it separately?
Either. We work as an integrated part of an existing team where you have the capacity to absorb us, and as an independent delivery unit with clear ownership where you need something carried on our own. It is worth deciding this early, because it changes how the work is structured and who needs to be available.
Start with the problem, not the platform
Whether something has become too slow, too expensive, too urgent or simply too complicated to solve with the people you have, the first conversation is the same. What is going wrong, what depends on it, and by when it has to be right.
