Regulatory Reporting

We build and maintain the systems organisations use to meet EU and local regulatory reporting obligations, and we keep them current as the frameworks change.

Tell us which frameworks you report under and where the difficulty sits. You will speak to someone who works on those frameworks.

The Client’s Situation

The frameworks do not stand still

Reporting obligations arrive from several directions at once: local requirements from a national regulator, EU-wide frameworks from the European Central Bank and the European Banking Authority, and specialised regimes such as CESOP and FATCA that run on their own definitions and calendars.

Inside a group operating across jurisdictions, the same figures are reported twice — once to the local regulator, once to the parent for consolidation. The two submissions draw on much the same data but differ in format, scope and rules, so the second cannot be produced from the first.

And the frameworks keep moving. Updates land annually, sometimes twice in the same year, and every revision has to be absorbed by processes built for the version before it. The report is due again next quarter, against rules that may have changed since the last one.

CeBIS

CeBIS is our regulatory reporting solution, which consists of eleven integrated modules supporting EU and Croatian reporting frameworks. We maintain it continuously against regulatory change, so a revision to a framework reaches you as a release rather than as a project to scope.

Modules are implemented individually. You take the ones you report under.

Alongside the software, we provide consulting from business analysts and data engineers with domain expertise in regulatory reporting. That can be engaged together with CeBIS or entirely on its own.

Built on Microsoft .NET and SQL Server.

What changes when the system is built for change

Talk to us

Regulatory change stops being a project

Modules are maintained continuously against framework updates, so a change in the rules arrives as a release rather than as work to scope and fund.

Errors are caught before the regulator sees them

Built-in data quality controls identify what needs correcting ahead of submission.

No resubmission cycle

Preventing a rejected submission also removes the effort of correcting and resubmitting it, which is the part nobody plans for.

Local and group reporting from one foundation

Where similar data has to be reported in different formats, scopes and rules, the solution absorbs the difference rather than the team doing it twice.

Effort moves from assembling to reviewing

Manual steps are replaced by automated processing, so the team spends its time checking output rather than building it.

How a module gets implemented

1

We define what data the solution needs

We work with you to establish exactly what has to come through the integration interface. Getting this right is most of the implementation.

2

We design, implement, test and deliver

A typical project team includes business analysts, data engineers, software developers, test engineers and a project manager.

3

We document it for both audiences

Comprehensive user documentation and technical documentation, so the people running the reports and the people maintaining the system each have what they need.

4

We keep it current

For modules already in place, we monitor regulatory change continuously and deliver new releases in agreement with you.

Turn your data into a competitive advantage.

Whether you’re trying to prove marketing performance, modernise enterprise reporting, or build a stronger data strategy, we’ll help you create analytics that deliver measurable business value.

Consulting, where the problem is not the software

Not every engagement starts with an implementation. Where there is a specific difficulty, we assign a domain expert to it. If poor data quality is affecting an AnaCredit submission, for example, a consultant joins the project to assess the current situation, identify the root causes, recommend the appropriate fix, and support you through putting the corrective measures in place.

Questions we are asked

The heaviest demand is at the start, when we work with you to define what data has to come through the integration interface. That needs people who understand your source systems and people who understand the reporting requirement. After implementation the demand drops considerably, because maintaining the module against regulatory change is our responsibility rather than yours.

Yes, and this is the main reason to buy it rather than build it. We monitor regulatory change continuously and deliver new releases as frameworks are updated, in agreement with you. Absorbing that change is what the product is for.

Yes, and we would rather you asked us this before signing than found out afterwards. Reporting deadlines do not move, so support close to a submission date is part of what the arrangement has to cover. Agree the response expectations with us in writing at the outset, and hold us to them.

Yes. This is a common position for a subsidiary inside a foreign group, where much the same data has to go to the national regulator and to the parent for consolidated reporting, in different formats and under different rules. Handling that difference in the solution rather than in the team is one of the things the modules are designed to do.

Start with the frameworks you report under

Whether you are implementing a new framework, replacing a reporting process that has become unmanageable, or trying to work out why one return keeps failing, the first conversation is the same. Which frameworks, which jurisdictions, and where it is going wrong.
